About Us
Japan Akademeia is an independent, non-partisan political research and education organization. We aim to strengthen political leaders, create new policy ideas, and encourage public commitment. Our organization promotes public deliberation by inspiring business, labor, political, academic, and other leaders of society to design global and national agendas.
Our mission and values
People of leadership caliber from all walks of life must come together now in order for Japan to face up to its challenges. Japan Akademeia gather such people, their wisdom and experience. As a hub, its spokes span across politics, government, business, academia, and labor, connecting public-minded leaders with each other. We aspire to rebuild the foundation of knowledge, which is necessary to foster wise leadership and is critical for stronger politics and better governance. Hence the members of Japan Akademeia will unite in our endeavors to leave a better Japan for future generations.
Our history
Japan Akademeia was established in April 2012 through joint efforts of business communities, labor unions, educational and research organizations, and academia.
